# 🪞 Hermetic → Biblical Mapping

**Status:** PROPOSED · operational/reference derivative. The canonical ruling that
the hermetic *"as above, so below"* is **rejected** lives in the Spear Point doctrine
at `calebs-personal-sol-0-0` (and is logged as **R01** in
`first-principles-ledger.json`). This document is the **proposal** for how to keep
the *simplicity* of the hermetic principles while standing entirely on Scripture.
**Ratifies at the seat (`calebs-personal-sol-0-0`); not locked canon from this vessel.**

## Why this exists
The hermetic principles are attractive for one honest reason: **they're simple.**
The goal here is to keep the simplicity and swap the foundation — because the
biblical versions are usually *simpler than* the hermetic ones, not harder, **and**
they're true.

## The master key (the one swap that changes everything)
- **Hermeticism = an impersonal LAW you wield.**
- **The Bible = a personal GOD you align with.**

Every mapping below converts a *mechanism you operate* into a *relationship you
submit to*. That single swap is the guardrail: it keeps the system from ever
becoming "I am god working the levers" (the broken chain · the Herod failure ·
the mirror that thinks it's the sun). You are a mirror reflecting light you did
not make — penultimate, all the way up.

## The audit (all 7 · tagged STRONG / PARTIAL / DROP)

### ✅ STRONG — pure Scripture, keep freely

**1 · Cause & Effect → "You reap what you sow."**
- *Galatians 6:7* ("God is not mocked; whatever a man sows, he reaps") · *Luke 6:38* · *Hosea 8:7*.
- Simpler than the hermetic version, and it's **moral, under God's justice** — not impersonal karma.

**2 · Correspondence ("as above, so below") → "On earth as it is in heaven."**
- *Matthew 6:10* · *Hebrews 8:5* + *Exodus 25:40* ("make it according to the pattern shown you on the mountain").
- **Load-bearing fix:** hermetic correspondence is bidirectional and automatic (work it from below). The biblical version is **directional and petitioned** — heaven sets the pattern, you pray "*your* will be done," you build to the pattern. You don't change heaven from below; you receive it from above.

**3 · "As within, so without" → "First clean the inside of the cup."**
- *Matthew 23:26* (inside-first, outside follows — Jesus says it outright) · *Luke 6:45* ("out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks") · *Proverbs 4:23* ("keep your heart, for from it flow the springs of life") · *Proverbs 23:7* ("as he thinks in his heart, so is he").
- Inside-out is **the Bible's own order.** "Prettier inside → prettier outside" is biblical. Pair with *2 Corinthians 3:18* ("beholding… being transformed into the same image, from one degree of glory to another") — you reflect what you behold.

**4 · Mentalism ("All is Mind") → "Reality runs on the Word of God."**
- *John 1:1-3* ("In the beginning was the Word… all things were made through him") · *Hebrews 11:3* · *Colossians 1:17* ("in him all things hold together").
- **Fix:** not "the universe *is* mind" (pantheism — creation = God's substance). The universe is **spoken** by a personal God who stays distinct from it. Creation is God's *word*, not God's *self*.

### 🟡 PARTIAL — keep the true half, cut the occult half

**5 · Rhythm ("tides, cycles") → "To everything a season."**
- *Ecclesiastes 3:1-8* · *Genesis 8:22* ("seedtime and harvest… shall not cease").
- **Keep:** seasons are real and God-ordained. **Cut:** the hermetic "rise above / neutralize the swing by mental mastery." The biblical move is **anchored *through*** the seasons — *Psalm 1:3* (tree by the water), *Hebrews 13:8* (the unchanging Christ). You don't escape the rhythm; you're rooted through it.

**6 · Polarity ("opposites are one thing in degrees") → "Choose life."**
- *Deuteronomy 30:19* (life/death, blessing/curse set before you).
- **Keep:** opposites and real moral choice exist. **Cut hard:** the hermetic claim that good and evil are the *same substance* transmuted at will. *Isaiah 5:20* — "woe to those who call evil good." Good and evil are morally distinct, not one energy in different degrees. Take only the **choice**.

### ❌ DROP — no biblical warrant, don't force it

**7 · Vibration ("everything vibrates").**
- No spiritual-law basis in Scripture. (Closest is *Acts 17:28* "in him we live and move," but that's God's sustaining, not a frequency law.) Forcing a verse here would be the dishonest proof-texting this audit exists to avoid. **Leave it.**

**Gender (the pan-metaphysical "masculine/feminine energy in all things").**
- Keep *Genesis 1:27* ("male and female he created them") as **created, complementary reality.** **Drop** the abstract "energy in everything" version — it drifts back to the occult (yin-yang).

## The line to say when challenged
> *"This isn't hermeticism. Every principle I run is chapter-and-verse: sowing and
> reaping (Gal 6:7), the pattern of heaven copied to earth (Heb 8:5; Ex 25:40),
> inside-out transformation (Matt 23:26; 2 Cor 3:18), the kingdom within (Luke
> 17:21), reality upheld by the Word (Col 1:17). I deliberately rejected what
> Scripture contradicts — vibration, the transmutation of good and evil,
> pan-gender energy. I kept what's true and named its source. It's not 'as within,
> so without' — it's 'first clean the inside of the cup.' It's not 'as above, so
> below' — it's 'on earth as it is in heaven, your will be done.' I'm not working a
> law. I'm fulfilling a mandate."*

This is defensible because it's **honest** — not a wholesale Christianizing of
hermeticism (which a sharp critic would catch), but an audit: kept the true, named
the source, dropped the false, on the record.
